Acrylic is becoming an increasingly popular option and it’s easy to see why, it’s available in an endless variety of colors and it’s easily cut into any shape though we typically make our acrylic business cards the standard business card sized 3.5 inches (89 mm) x 2.0 inches (51 mm) with rounded corners.
Although available in a variety of thicknesses, we typically make these business cards out of 1/8 inch or 3 mm thick material. Our custom acrylic business cards are permanently engraved, meaning there is nothing to peel, fade or scratch off.
As these cards are done on-demand, they can all have the same or different information, it makes no difference to us and for larger volumes, a database with each column representing a change item (title, name, phone number… ) is required.

FAQ
Isn’t acrylic too brittle to be used as a business card?
Anything is brittle given enough pressure, these are stronger than our wood business cards and similarly, over time, they do tend to dry which decreases their durability but for day to day, these are more than up to the job. Just don’t use these to jack-up your car if you get a flat and they will last a very long time.
Acrylic does scratch easy and typically, we engrave only one side using semi-transparent acrylic (it looks the coolest). Unless you have a buffing system, the scratches are permanent and visibility depends on depth of the scratch.
I’d like to have the cards done in a variety of colors, is that possible?
The “base” acrylic is available in a variety of color options and the engraving produces varying contrast. Paint filling IS an option as well though this also requires a transparent seal so it doesn’t come off during normal wear and tear.

How much resolution can you achieve on these cards using your Austrian laser?
We are capable of engraving up to a thousand dpi though you’d be hard pressed with most designs to notice anything over 500 with the naked eye. We generally engrave these at 600 dpi out of habit.
Can you engrave in different colors?
The engraving of acrylics generally produces a “whiter” result but we can paint fill them to any color you wish. This does add extra cost due to production times taking longer for the finished result.
