CNCROi.com will be fiber laser annealing stainless steel sandal shape wedding favors which were provided by our customer, though we could have also made them if needed.
I’ve shown lots of videos showcasing our stainless steel annealing capabilities across welding tags through to business cards, so today we’ll show you what’s possible for your special event.
In this case, the customer sourced their own stainless steel stamped metal pieces which they liked, it’s also cheaper if you have very low relative volume to go with something “standard” rather than “custom” as you benefit from mass production though CNCROi.com can also produce high volume stainless steel work as well.
Annealing is performed using our fiber laser source, technically, this can be done using our CO2 laser source with cermark but that ceramic bonding process isn’t permanent, it peels, cracks and for our customers, CNCROi.com does things right the first time.
Because CNCROi.com has the right equipment in the shop to do the perfect job for the application, we can offer more than one process onto stainless steel (in this case).
So whether you wanted stainless steel annealing or etching or a combination of both on the metal of your choice, CNCROi.com can make it for you!
These sandals look great, annealing them is just the cherry on the top of the cake in this case.
What’s really nice about stainless steel sandals is that the material itself is incredibly tough and the annealing is even more durable than the base metal because it’s tempered so if anything, the raw steel around the “black annealing” you see will last less long as it hasn’t been exposed to a super hot fiber laser.
Stainless steel sandal annealing produces a black or off-black mark onto it and it won’t wash off, peel or crack as it’s part of the metal itself.
Here’s what the stainless steel sandal looks like with the top plastic part, bringing the entire design together and giving you a better context of what the final piece looks like.
Of course, if you wanted 316 stainless steel plate to be used instead of 304 stainless steel, which is roughly 35% more raw material wise, CNCROi.com can make that for you as well.
This is another style of stainless steel bottle opener, again, this is a standard bulk produced blank, just like the stainless steel sandal shape above which CNCROi.com annealed.
As to custom shapes and production here’s an idea of what CNCROi.com produces for our welding and machine tagging solutions that have gone all around the world.
So for instance, if you wanted the stainless steel sandals above that double as a novelty bottle opener but about 2x the size, or using a different thickness, CNCROi.com can produce that for you.
Bottle openers are a wonderful wedding favor gift as they are both useful and CNCROi.com‘s fiber laser does an amazing annealing job, at up to 600 DPI so everything is sharp and stark in contrast.
Here’s the annealing process within CNCROi.com‘s Austrian CNC laser from a different angle, tons of clearance which is great for some of our clients with large or awkward pieces.
There are endless options when it comes to surface quality and steel bottle openers, again, you can source your own or we can do that or we can make them specifically to your specifications for your unique application and desires.
Quite often, we anneal both sides of some of our larger plates, the reason being is that they double as signage to indicate two different messages, such as “on” and “off” and because it’s stainless steel, you can weld these directly to their steel products.
CNCROi.com has made and worked with a crazy amount of metal jobs, from small party favors to very large-scale signage and even aspects that go onto custom furniture.
Look how amazing this annealing comes out, what’s really neat is that, like wood, the grain follows through the annealing, so it isn’t like screen printing where you cover-up the natural grain of the material but actually, just change the color of it without affecting direction or length.
Stainless steel is very hard to photograph well, so you can see the “shine” from the above photo to the one below, it’s in the same everything, just a slight angle change from the camera lens.
This is why I mentioned in the stainless steel sandal annealing above that the results go from jet black to off-black, it all depends on the refraction and reflection of the light against the annealed and un-annealed areas of the steel.
Taking a close-up view, you can now more clearly see the grain going through the annealing, again, depending on the viewing angle and lighting, you get a different visual but it always looks awesome!
Yet another angle, this is the same effect you get on the stainless steel sandals by the way, the annealing was the same degree, power and speed and both of these custom bottle openers are 304 stainless steel.
Regardless of your steel or other material requirements, contact CNCROi.com and we can work from what you have or go totally custom and produce exactly what you want so be sure to contact us right now!
