Customer: Why are you guys so fast?!?

Surprisingly, as we have grown over the past two years, one thing has remained the same, most of our projects are quoted, designed, cut/engraved and shipped out the door within 24 hours! How is this possible?

Although there are several factors as to why CNCROi.com gets something shipped and out the door faster than it takes most companies to follow-up with you, the number one reason is efficiency.

Our shop is lean, materials aren’t transformed into their end-product until it’s time to do so, meaning we don’t keep any inventory of finished products but raw material to make said finished products. A piece of Corian for instance can be transformed into a coaster, cutting board, signage or a bunch of other things, same with veneers, acrylics, laminates and metals. As a result, having everything cleanly organized in their respective slot means that when we have a project needing to be done out of one, we can do that in one shot and make a variety of projects in one shot from that.

There is a very specific reason as to why we bought top of the line equipment, speed. Our Austrian CNC laser has both a CO2 and fiber tube in it, it makes things efficient but also allows us to handle multi-material projects in one go instead of having to do things in several steps.

For instance, annealing stainless steel is done with our fiber laser but we can also engrave a wooden handle on a knife in one process. Not only that, we are able to, because of our fiber laser tube, permanently mark the surface of the stainless steel RAW without any pre or post processing being required.

Our equipment is also ALL top of the line, our jigsaw itself is worth over 400$. Why? Because like all our other tools, when we need it to work, it MUST WORK. This is why we don’t have production delays, when the laser has a job, it can do it, our CNC router has no problem with an industrial spindle doing large production runs and our knives are sharp with plenty of extra blades ready.

It’s no secret that if you hate your job, you become rather inefficient doing anything in your job. We are the opposite, we LOVE our jobs, I get the wake-up every morning and turn client’s dream projects into reality and get paid to do it! It really is quite a gift to be able to do this for a living and the more custom and challenging, the more fun a project becomes.

Maybe making name badges is boring to many people, but to me, showing customers how a name badge can become a point of price for their company, hearing feedback at how their customers were blown away by their custom corporate gift or just having fun in the shop testing out new materials our clients shipped to us… it’s better than a vacation!

Speed from Permanent Solutions!

Give this video below a quick look – it explains our philosophy of producing QUALITY PERMANENT results for clients instead of wasting your time and money on solutions that aren’t really worth doing.

For instance, some clients want black markings on aluminium, which is possible for us to produce, but the results aren’t permanent, especially compared to the alternatives.

For instance, if you had a project requiring aluminium, get it anodized or switch to polycarbonate or stainless steel – using Cermark with a CO2 laser source produces uneven and non-permanent results which, to be honest, are best done using UV printing than lasers.

CNCROi.com produces QUALITY results by not selling customers on technology that produces inferior results, giving us headaches down the road and a lost client as well. Here is what “permanent black marking” on aluminium looks like after a little wear and tear.

This WAS black and looked great but as you can see, aluminium bonding paste is just that, bonding, and it doesn’t last. There are plenty of alternatives though such as fiber marking raw aluminium, here’s pics of something that’s almost 2 years old and very much worn but the marking looks like it was done yesterday.

What are the alternatives? Anodized aluminium, stainless steel, polycarbonate and the list goes on.

The stainless steel card above was scratched by customers using hammers, knives and a bunch of other sharp things and they have yet to be able to remove the annealed mark. Why don’t more companies do this type of work? Because having a fiber laser source is expensive and a slow process, so using a CO2 laser source (which we have too) using ceramic bonding paste is the way around it but the results on metal, aluminium or stainless steel, are NOT permanent.
