The simple fact is that if you want to get your warehouse full of amazing CUSTOM TO SPEC products, we (you and I), need to start getting the design, fabrication and production down.
Wholesale Christmas: Design
The very first thing you need to sort out is what you want, do you want a simple tree like the above picture or a 3D engraved sign like the picture below?
What can you live with and what can be omitted from the design? What size is the design? Who is the intended audience for this design and how sturdy does it need to be?
These are all very important questions to sort out, as when it comes to custom production, the design is vital to sort out to get the rest of the issues resolved in a timely manner.
Wholesale Christmas: Budget
As CNCROi.com makes everything custom to spec, we need to know what your numbers are (as far as production wholesale, we don’t care what you sell it to the end-customer for).
For instance, if you wanted the above “We Wish You A Merry Christmas” made out of stainless steel, we need to get the budget down as this will dictate the type we can use (aluminium, titanium or just cold-rolled etc.) and along with that the sizing and gauge (thickness).
It goes without saying, metal will cost dramatically more than doing the same design out of Pine, but also keep in mind that these would be going to two very different audiences so you’d make far higher profit margins but less volume in the metal and the opposite with the Pine.
Wholesale Christmas: Volume
Directly related to budget and design is VOLUME.
How many do you want done and what are the timelines you need them for? For instance, if you need 100 units in a week and then a thousand for each of the next 3 months, now’s the time to get that sorted.
Volume also has a direct impact on material and design costs and options, which is why it’s important to get that nailed down ASAP.
Higher volumes generally mean a lower per unit price, but it could also be totally unchanging in that we can actually make the design more complex, thicker or larger than a low volume production but because you are getting many done at the same time, the price actually doesn’t go up with “MORE”.
Wholesale Christmas: Materials
Getting your materials down is also important, making something out of paper will cost a lot less than Corian for the exact same design regardless of how many or the design (within reason).
At this time, it’s also nice to figure out what combinations of materials you wish to use as well, for instance, something like custom live edge wall plaques can be made big, small or tiny depending on the volume and budget but if you want additional things added to it like paint filling, wall fixation hardware and so forth, we need to sort that out now.

As CNCROi.com makes everything on-demand for you, it allows you to have personalization and a wide variety of different designs using the same base set of materials, for instance, if you want to sell animal shapes that go with Christmas, whether the animal is a gorilla or a giraffe, in volume, it makes no difference.
Having 100 giraffes and 100 camels will cost the same as just 200 giraffes or 5 kangaroos and 195 platypus.
If you wanted each of these animals to also have unique names on them or whatever other details, again, it makes no difference to us in order to give you the ultimate volume discount on overall production.

CNCROi.com makes everything custom, as a result, there isn’t a warehouse sitting full of awesome ornaments just waiting to be shipped within a few hours notice, sometimes to get materials, it takes a week or two depending on how specific you are.
Designs sometimes take a week or two to sort out as well and we haven’t even padded-in room for production, much less shipping.
Although we price ourselves with most of our projects being done within 24 hours, that clock starts once the design, volume, budget, payment, materials and everything else is sorted and resolved.
