All our custom stainless steel metal business cards are CNC laser annealed using our fiber laser source, which means the marking (not engraving) is PERMANENT and will NOT fade, peel or scratch off. In fact, they are totally waterproof so even if you wash them in the laundry by accident a few times, they will look just as new! These are made on-demand so the information on each card can be the same or different, it makes no difference.

The measurements of these rounded custom annealed stainless steel cards are 3.5 inches (89 mm) x 2.0 inches (51 mm) and they have rounded corners. These cards are made of 304 Stainless Steel (other grades and finishes available). If you wish to have double-sided CNC fiber laser annealing, the quantity will be halved.

How do you make these custom stainless steel business cards?

The cards (depending on grade, size and quantity) are either laser cut or stamped and the results are purely achieve by super heating the surface which changes the structure of the metal at the surface which produces a contrasting “color”.

I’d like to have the cards done in a variety of colors, is that possible?

No, that’s why we offer colored anodized aluminium alternatives, similarly though, these cards are produced on-demand so the cards don’t even have to have the same information on them or even company.

What is the difference between these custom annealed stainless steel business cards and paper or UV printed ones?

Presence, you give one of these cards to your best customer and they will KNOW you gave it to them. They have a solidness and weight that’s hard to describe. Anybody you give these to will wonder were the heck did you get them done (refer us!) and will NEVER FORGET ABOUT YOU. You really can’t say the same about any other custom business card type, no amount of paper gives it the weight of these and they are so rare, you stand-out immediately with an awesome conversation piece.

These are multi-generational cards and many of our custom fabrication customers actually weld our 304 stainless steel business cards to their work, try that with paper or plastic! These will not fade, crack, chip over time as nothing was added or removed by our laser source on the bare metal.

How much resolution can you achieve on these cards using your Austrian laser?

We are capable of engraving up to a thousand dpi though you’d be hard pressed with most designs to notice anything over 500 with the naked eye. We generally engrave these at 600 dpi out of habit.

Can you engrave in different colors?

Not really, the annealing can be black or shades of brown. We can also roughen-up the surface for contrast on a polished surface.
