There are an endless variety of options when it comes to wood business cards, typically we make them standard business card sized 3.5 inches (89 mm) x 2.0 inches (51 mm) with rounded corners.
Our custom wood business cards are permanently engraved, meaning there is nothing to peel, fade or scratch off but at the end of the day, they are still wood though if you wish, we are able to seal them to help increase durability.
As these cards are done on-demand, they can all have the same or different information, it makes no difference to us and for larger volumes, a database with each column representing a change item (title, name, phone number… ) is required.
Price INCLUDES custom materials, cutting and personalized engraving.
We will require an outlined EPS black and white of your entire business card.

Are these wood business cards REAL WOOD?
Yes, they are actual softwood and hardwood, you can select the type in the pulldown when processing your order. We typically make them out of 1/8th (3 mm) veneer for strength and durability but if you wish to have something thinner, extra care must be taken especially in environments with high fluctuations in temperature and humidity.
Other options include MDF which gives pretty good resolution and plywood, we can make these out of 3/4 inch (18 mm) pine as easily as 1/64 inch (0.4 mm) cherry but from experience, 1/8th for solid wood is best. If you need something special, contact us.
I’d like to have the cards done in a variety of colors, is that possible?
Generally we avoid doing this due to the small size, these are laser engraved and as such, paint filling is an option but it adds extra cost and the results are “alright” due to a high rejection rate. The contrast provided by laser engraving is fine and only gets better once sealed from the elements (we do this upon request).
If you are looking for a full-color process on your wood business cards, we can produce blanks for you to bring to a UV print shop if you wish or better yet, get your business cards in far more permanent acrylic, anodized aluminium or stainless steel!
Another options is to get us to make the wood blanks for you and then a stamp (we custom make that too!) so you can make your own in high volumes. The nice thing about stamping your cards is that you become your own print shop, making custom business cards out of any media you wish.
How much resolution can you achieve on these cards using your Austrian laser?
We are capable of engraving up to a thousand dpi though you’d be hard pressed with most designs to notice anything over 500 with the naked eye especially on wood. We generally engrave these at 600 dpi out of habit.
Can you engrave in different colors?
The engraving can be any color you want as long as choose “darker”. Why? Well, the laser engraves into the wood and leaves a bit of charcoal in the “now” out of focus bottom of the engraved hole, that’s what produces the contrast.
