CNC Laser Engraving Leather… 2 Year Follow-up!

Two years ago I laser engraved my real leather brief case and wallet when CNCROi.com officially began, let’s see how well they’ve done since!

First we’ll take a look at the brief case, here is the before picture, upload date of August 10, 2014. The lighting is different because we started in half of a two car garage and have since moved into a physical building dedicated to manufacturing on-demand products for our customers.

Compare that to July 17, 2016.

Next-up is my leather wallet, the following picture is from August 27, 2014.

and we’ll compare to a photo I took July 17, 2016, it feels like only a few months have passed but it’s been almost two years!

Leather Engraving is PERMANENT

Leather is a wonderful material to work with, it’s incredibly durable, available in a variety of colors and thicknesses and best of all, very easy to work with when it comes to CNC laser engraving and cutting. The smoke you see on the surface can be cleaned-up but I show them as/is to clients so they understand a bit more about the process behind the work we do for them.
