CNC Laser Station: Custom Furniture Production
I’m putting together the videos and content (there is quite a bit with custom builds like this) but should be done by the end of the week between customer projects here at CNCROi.com.
Right before the holidays, we moved into a much larger space to handle all the work coming into the shop in a more efficient manner and as part of the move, I wanted to create optimized workspaces for our various processes and machinery. The first of which is this custom designed CNC laser station, cut with the machine you see on the left no less!
This is a major improvement compared to the old (and temporary) set-up I had previously. On the left is our Austrian dual-sourced CNC laser, a Trotec Speedy 400 flexx, next to that the new laser cut CNC laser station, then a storage rack followed by our 80 gallon industrial air compressor. Of course, no shop is complete without branding on an otherwise boring wall.
If you are curious to see how this was designed, visit CNC Laser Station – Design (part 1) and CNC Laser Station – Design (part 2).
This isn’t by any means the whole shop, there are four other walls with supplies, materials, equipment and everything else a custom CNC shop should have. This isn’t the first piece we’ve designed nor is it anywhere near the last, here’s a picture of a custom CNC router cut kangaroo table!
