ShopBot CNC Router Cut & Build Shots
If you aren’t familiar with what our ShopBot CNC router can do, what they are and how they work, watch this video I did a while back explaining them.
I know I post a lot more CNC laser projects and work on CNCROi.com but we do just as much ShopBot CNC router work, I just haven’t gotten around to showcasing it properly, something I hope to get into more next year.
It’s a wonderfull tool that allows us to do things that our other equipment simply can’t or not as efficiently. As such, our CNC router is as important a tool in our shop as our Austrian laser!
There are a few quirks when it comes to optimizing designs for CNC routers rather than CNC lasers, we won’t get into that right now, but the most evident advantage is that a spinning bit can cut harder and thicker materials faster than a beam of light.
Our ShopBot CNC router is amazing and I hope to get a far bigger machine in the coming year to handle projects that a smaller format can’t really handle efficiently.
For example, the above sign can be made to be far larger (scaled-up) quite easily digitally but isn’t something that can be done ACCURATELY at the size of a typical human. Not to say big things can’t be made, it’s just not efficient on a smaller format.
What I especially look forward towards doing with a larger format ShopBot CNC router is the opportunity it would give CNCROi.com to do extremely unique projects using the strengths of both our industrial laser and our router.
There is so much that can be done by combining the strengths of both that 1 + 1 = 3 and not 2, and this just gets multiplied as more capabilities get acquired by our shop.
As the diversity of our projects increases along with our customer base, I look forward towards offering a lot more custom capabilities, from custom furniture production and interiors to smaller items like architectural displays and dividers.
There is an incredible amount of capability at CNCROi.com that has already grown by leaps and bounds since starting a bit more than two years ago.
From coming-up with concepts and developing 3D models for approval and marketing purposes to build and finishing in just about any material your budget can support, CNCROi.com looks forward to being a trusted partner with more and more companies, from mill workers to metal fabricators.
If you want a bit more information as to how the capabilities of all these CNC machines differ, briefly, watch this video to set you on the right path.
Keep on sending us your files, you probably have well over an hour of video in this single blog post to review, I’ve been passionate about this stuff for well over a decade and I look forward to putting that experience and expertise to work just for you and your company.
