The CNCROi.com Show!
My focus with CNCROi.com thus far has been purely on getting as much content up as fast as possible to build-up traffic for this site and display the largest variety of materials and projects as possible – this is already my 90th blog post and we’ve only really started at the end of August of this year!
It’s quite incredible the diversity I’ve achieved on this site but now that the foundation is layed, time to go with a longer format.
Why go with a show format?
I will still be doing videos focused on specific materials as I’ve been doing on CNCROi.com thus far but a larger “show format” allows me to better introduce the project at hand, the incredible amount of creativity we have here and dramatically increase the profile of my company.
I did it with CNCKing.com and had very good results compared to just video showing the project being cut and put together.
For instance, contrast what I did here
with the show format (this project is a bit extreme but generally, I try to keep it under 10 minutes).
Sales through education
I’ve always believed that the best customers are the educated ones, what I mean are those that understand, even if only at a basic level, what it is you do, how you do it and what they can expect.
This can be done by blog posts and photographs and video but this process, though dramatically faster to produce, doesn’t really showcase how much we love doing this stuff and how much passion for making awesome work for our clients. It lacks personality!
Anybody who’s in the industry will notice I’ve been cutting corners with many of the projects I have showcased here on CNCROi.com, like annealing stainless steel using a cutting grid table instead of our flat vacuum table.
Although for my “sample” purposes this is more than fine as the results are just as good, it isn’t he “proper” way to do things and not the way we do things for our clients… so the show should reflect the right way of doing things.
With some companies, like manufacturers of widgets, they want a batch number, logo or serial number engraved, marked or etched x 1000 pieces so whatever works to get the job done is what we do but for other industries like millworking or designers of various hats, they are looking for ideas, and that’s where the show will shine brightest.
CNCs are FUN and POWERFUL
Most people fail to appreciate how much fun and powerful CNC machines are and the unlimited creative outlets that can be expressed with them – coming to work each day is something to look forward to here!
There is so much potential that it’s dizzying… this is why CNCKing.com has achieved so much success through the years – I designed stuff that people never thought was possible using only 2D cutting.
With the capabilities of CNCROi.com, our custom CNC shop can take things to dramatic new levels using processes and projects that really give you a behind-the-scenes view of what goes on here. Not familiar with different CNC types? Check this out.
Still CNCROi.com everywhere
As always, I’m going to stick to the CNCROi.com “project” everywhere, we won’t be showing our client work as, we are focused on being part of other companies supply chains. Don’t worry, there is more than enough stuff to pull that whose logo on what makes no difference.
Getting completely unrelated scrap isn’t a difficult task from just about anywhere and I generally leave some with clients so it’s a win/win!
When does it start?
It starts in the new year, it’s time to showcase the creativity, talent and passion CNCROi.com is becoming known for!
