Custom Beer Bottle Opener

When it comes to custom beer bottle openers, CNCROi.com can make them just for you with whatever message or branding you’d like, personal or corporate.

Between customer production runs, I end-up with off-cuts and scraps that are sometimes odd shapes which I wonder what I can do with.

When I saw this board of 3/4″ or 18 mm Pine, I thought that it may work wonderfully for a custom beer bottle opener I’ve been thinking of making for a while of my own design.

You can already start to see how the custom beer bottle opener is coming together, I ran through a thesaurus to find other words for beer and stuck them in a silhouette for a beer bottle.

After the design process is done, it’s time to actually cut it out, this could have been anything from Pine through metal, it’s totally up to you.

You can see the fire on the edge of the custom beer bottle opener was cut paper-thin on the edge, hence a flame taking hold and burning for a little while but it wasn’t a problem, this can be sanded off.

There is still some bits of making on the beer sign, the nice thing about Pine is that it’s so easy to sand that it only takes a few seconds to totally clean-up the surface of it, our CNC laser engraved deep enough into this Pine so we aren’t worried about removing the laser engraving during the sanding process.

Looking great! There is that burned edge but that was sanded, I guess one good thing about holding this sign is that burned edge provided the perfect fit for my thumb to hold the entire custom beer bottle opener up, I only realized afterwards that I happen to stick my thumb there every time.

After applying a layer of varnish onto the Pine bottle opener, you can really see the color pop and the grain become more apparent and of course, that one knot has to be exactly where you don’t want it to be.
