Do keep in mind that there are limits using hardwoods when it comes to resolution, wood isn’t as dense as metal for instance, so very find text is hard to read, try to keep things as big as possible on this material for ultimate clarity and legibility.

The nice thing about Maple custom wood coin manufacturing is that the surface is lighter than Oak, as a result, the laser engraving, which is essentially making charcoal, provides even more contrast than darker wood species.

The design can of course be the same on Oak as it is on Maple or any other wood species, but generally, for longevity and durability, hardwoods are better than softwoods when it comes to custom wood coin manufacturing.
