Delrin Seal on Card Paper
As blogged about earlier, CNCROi.com has in-house capabilities to create awesome custom Delrin Seals of pretty much any size, since then, I’ve put that same one I made months ago through its paces by branding our mailouts. I had some card paper in the shop so I decided to be a little creative and add my seal to these as well!
I took many photos at various angles as these seals are a bit hard to see in photographs for some reason.
Our Delrin Seals are not made to be used with such thick card paper, this can and will damage them over the long run as it puts a lot of pressure on the small details of the seal but surprisingly, they came out awesome though slightly faded due to the thickness.
Across a variety of colors, I’d say our CNCROi.com custom Delrin Seal came out awesome!
If I had a lot of these to do, in all honesty, I’d use a custom rubber stamp, it would be far clear or doing this using an arbor press with two Delrin Seals may work good though I’m not sure as to longevity.
The original seal (used to make the above card stock embossed & image below) still works fine and is just as clear after this abuse.
If you aren’t sure what Delrin Seals look like, here’s a quick picture of how the above was made, using our Austrian Industrial Wide Format CNC Trotec Laser.
Surprisingly, this seal has yet to wear out on me, it speaks to the quality of the material and the precision of our CNC laser, if these were even slightly misaligned or inaccurate, they’d eat each other over time.
