Double email & FAQ
As CNCROi.com keeps on growing, I’ve begun to notice that many people who use our online form don’t put in a correct email address… this means a lost lead for us and no work from us for YOU. So, to help fix the issue, I’ve now put in double email requirements on all our forms. Hopefully this solve the issue.
FAQ
It’s been a year and a half since I did any FAQ here on the blog so to answer a bunch of common questions we get on a regular basis, here’s the answers to your questions.
Do you work on consignment?
No
Do you ship to XYZ?
We’ve shipped product around the world, so far the only country that I’m pretty sure we’ve never shipped to are North Korea and Somalia, short of that, there is a little CNCROi.com or CNCKing.com lurking somewhere.
How do I decide what material to have my design made from?
Remember, material is secondary to application. What will the item be used for? That’s by far the bigger question. For instance, if we are cutting you a few custom wedding cake toppers, pretty much any material goes but if we are making custom high-impact wrenches, polycarbonate is the way to go where the thickness will dictate the amount of torque possible (yes, we’ve actually made polycarbonate wrenches btw).
I have a design on a napkin, is that good enough?
Yep, as long as we aren’t building you a fusion reactor, napkin designs are fine. We design in 3D (animation below) so we can easily transform a concept into something virtual then physical inhouse without any issue. Bigger questions is what is your budget.

I don’t have a budget… can you help me?
Budgets are vital, if you don’t have a number, we accept blank wire payments in any denomination. If you don’t have a set number, give us a range… that’s fine too. The reason why a budget is required is that CNCROi.com can honestly make anything out of anything, a dollar value, per unit or per batch, will help refine material selection, size and ultimately deliverables.
I really like your website, can you make me one?
We are a custom CNC shop and although we do design here and there… it’s mostly related to the work we do, like the Mangonel above. If you want a website, contact a company specialized in that. This website isn’t all that difficult to build, although the parent company of CNCROi.com is i3DS International Corporation that did design websites for YEARS, we’ve passed the torch over to other firms.
Just install wordpress on your server and build from there, no HTML or design skills needed… and it’s free. That’s how this site is run!
I have an awesome idea, can you sign an NDA?
If this is for a company, we sign NDAs all the time, if it’s for an individual, sorry, but most likely your idea is a dime a dozen and won’t see the light of day. We get a lot of emails from inventors wanting us to create their invention but they can’t tell us anything about it, so generally, the conversation ends there.
Get a patent on your idea, even a provisional one, then we can talk. I don’t sign blank forms without having any idea what I’m signing-up for. If you idea is worth protecting, do so, we can sign an NDA after a quick conversation. Do remember though, an idea is worthless until it hits the market and even then, it’s a gamble. It isn’t as easy as you think, get my last book and learn from a patent attorney how to proceed and the limits of the patent system before you go too deep into this rabbit hole.
Do you offer tours? Where’s your address? I want to drop by.
No to both answers. Reason being, somewhat related to the above, unless I know you and your business and we’ve done business together before, the chances of you finding us and getting in the front door are zero. Although we could publish our secret address like they do with Area 51, I don’t have the budget to have a fleet of armored Humvees doing donuts around the building day and night with machine guns shooting at anybody hopping a fence. As such, no address is the easiest way to protect our client projects and respect NDAs we sign for them.
Believe me, we don’t have any alien aircraft here, it’s pretty mundane with high-end CNC machines humming next to oversized air compressors and backed by an electrical panel… the lights are LED by the way.
What are your operational limits? Can you make X number of Y per Z time?
Send us the drawing with your unit goals and we’ll let you know. It’s really that easy and if we can’t do it for you, most likely one of our clients can. We work on custom projects and many of our clients are in the same boat but in their respective niche, as such, we have A LOT of contacts in the CNC world all around the world.
You didn’t answer my question
That’s what the contact form on the right of this blog post is for, now upgraded with double email so you can double check you filled it in right. Don’t forget there are also over 200 blog posts showing some of the work we do (not for clients on purpose) so browse around and if you need any custom work, contact us today!
