MaxAir Electric Stationary Compressor C5180V1-MAP, 5HP, 208/230V, 80 Gal, 18.5 CFM @ 100 PSI

We’ve just purchased a new air compressor for our shop. A MaxAir Electric Stationary Compressor C5180V1-MAP, 5HP, 208/230V, 80 Gal, 18.5 CFM @ 100 PSI.

It’s going to replace the far smaller air compressor we’ve been using for the past year, a very hard working 3HP, 11 Gal air compressor that simply cannot keep-up with the demands of the shop any longer.

We’ve grown tremendously over the “more than one year” we’ve been in business which is a great sign but when I first began, I severely underestimated how much compressed air we’d be using with our laser and other activities in the shop. Having a machine that can keep-up and then some as we grow in machines and capabilities was needed and I can’t wait to install this in our CNCROi.com shop.

The really nice feature about this air compressor is we can also hook it up to pigs in the future, so when the air compressor kicks in, it’s not only filling the 80 Gal volume but can fill up several others in one go. This means it kicks in less often so as to be less of a nuisance.
