Multi-Colored Trodat 5212 Professionals
When it comes to multi-colored Trodat rubber stamps, CNCROi.com can do so in two ways, the first, which is the most cost-effective and flexible is to change-up the ink pad in the Trodat 5212 Professionals as we’ve done in today’s blog post while the other more complex method is to have an ink pad with multi-colored areas within it.

For these multi-colored Trodat rubber stamps, we went the “easy” route as multiple rubber stamps were needed anyways, so each got their own color, in addition to the default black ink, so that color could be easily swapped in and out depending on the customer’s occasion.
What made this project a bit challenging was the fact that we were working of multi-colored art which was they made into grayscale and if you know anything about rubber stamps, you either want something engraved or not engraved, there is no “middle ground” when it comes to inks as you’d have with molds or even pyrography.
These multi-colored Trodat rubber stamps had very detailed imagery so once a way was devised to optimize the image quality for use on a self-inking stamp, it was time to actually make them out of Trodat provided rubber using our Trotec Laser.

Black ink provides the best contrast on most materials, paper through cardboard but what’s nice about the other ink colors Trodat provides to us, as an official reseller of their whole range of products, are that the other colors are bold and very easily seen in most conditions as well.
When ever CNCROi.com makes multi-colored Trodat rubber stamps, 9 times out of 10, the customer ops for just having a regular inkpad with the color of choice rather than going full multi-colored meaning the inkpad itself has a few colors within it.
There are many advantages to going with solid color across the ink pad over going multi-colored Trodat ink pads in one unit.
The first is that if you want to change any colors, it’s just a matter of changing the ink cartridge and continue going along stamping away in any color you wish, this is a bit more complex when it comes to a multi-colored Trodat ink pad.
Reason being, the ink pad itself has to be custom fabricated to account for the different colors you wish to have across the ink pad sections which takes time to fabricate.
Looking at the above hand-drawn picture CNCROi.com converted to Trodat Professional 5212, you’ll notice a highly detailed image in one solid color though this design could have easily been made using a multi-colored Trodat ink pad as well.
A common question I get from customers wondering about multi-colored Trodat ink pads are can they be used with solid ink pads as well? Absolutely!
