Trodat 5212 Self Inking Stamp: Black & Red Ink Pads + FAQs Answered

The Trodat Professional 5212 Self Inking Stamp is in a league of its own, and CNCROi.com has highly tuned equipment and supplies directly from Trodat (machine through rubber) to produce incredible results for all your custom stamping needs.

So far, with all the videos I’ve made about Trodat’s range of self-inking stamp, I didn’t make one showcasing the red color option for the Trodat Professional 5212 Self Inking Stamp, that ends today and we’ll review how it compares to the black ink option in this blog post.

First though, we need to make both custom rubber stamps using our Trotec Laser Speedy 400 flexx, with both a CO2 and Fiber laser source, born in Austria near Trodat’s HQ!

Guess where the rubber comes from that we used for the Trodat Professional 5212 Self Inking Stamp? It comes from Austria, just like our machine, directly from Trodat’s manufacturing facilities.

This is important as every step of what you see here, software to hardware, has been optimized to produce the best damn stamping results in the world and if you aren’t familiar with Trodat, they are over a hundred years old and are the world’s largest stamp manufacturing to boot!

Making custom stamps is a messy process, the results in these production photos look messy and unclear.

The reason for this is there is so much dust and bright light, the camera (and video) has trouble focusing on what’s happening and what is being engraved into the professional grade rubber is also full of debris, that’s why I put the two anodized aluminium plates so the camera has something to focus on!

Regardless of the size, from the massive Trodat Professional 5212 Self Inking Stamp down to the small Trodat Printy (video below), the process is always the same.

Engrave rubber, stick rubber onto the stamping mechanism, TEST IT OUT and then ship it to CNCROi.com‘s happy customers around the world!

The only part that “changes” is that the ink pad, if you wish to have one pre-filled, is red instead of black in this demonstration of the Trodat Professional 5212 Self Inking Stamp.

The rubber is the same, directly from Trodat.

This stamp has a really neat donut design in it along with a border going all and some hot coffee, sadly, this can’t be eaten because this would be the tastiest custom Trodat Professional 5212 Self Inking Stamp CNCROi.com has ever produced!

Absolutely sharp, precise and consistent across the entire surface, no fading, no cracking and NO PROBLEMS!

Custom rubber stamps always look the nicest when they are wet or with ink on them, it gives them a nice shine that really showcases the beauty that our top of the line laser though rubber produces.

Alright, now for the true test, we have a piece of paper with the red ink pad added to the Trodat Professional 5212 Self Inking Stamp and another with a black one, let’s to a stamp-off at CNCROi.com‘s HQ!

Amazing results straight out of the machine!

It does take a little bit of time for the rubber and the ink pad to marry perfectly to produce a consistent result but these are ready to go no problem!

You can really see the difference between the black and red ink using the same Trodat Professional 5212 Self Inking Stamp, each color has a + and – and yes, if you wanted UV backlight ink, we can provide you that too, though the results would be hard to photograph.
