Trotec Speedy 400 Flexx Review: Customer Testimonial 3.5 Years In
This has been a long time coming, finally had enough experience to put up a testimonial on the powerhouse that makes CNCROi.com possible, our Trotec Speedy 400 flexx.
While we are celebrating our 3.5 year anniversary here at CNCROi.com, I thought it would also be fun to make a custom corporate tea light example out of Trotec Laser as well as a reminder of how far this company has gone since the start-up picture in my parent’s garage above!

The timelines are a bit rough because I bought a custom Speedy 400 flexx Trotec Laser when they just came out onto the marketplace, not one that was “off the shelf” and as a result, it took a few months for it to be made to my specifications.
You can’t run a custom fab shop without having machine that they themselves are custom spec!
It’s really surprising what my Trotec Speedy 400 flexx has done through the years, no problems, the CO2 laser source has worked straight for DAYS without problems on a few projects and at CNCROi.com, it’s cut and engraved acres of wood for customers across North America.
Our fiber diode (in the same laser) has also done wonders on lots of metal, half of our business is metal related in one fashion or another and our Trotec Speedy 400 flexx has pulled-through without any problem on that front as well.
Overall, I’d say the experience with my Trotec Laser has been amazing, the people who work at Trotec have been nothing but wonderful to deal with, they love what they do as much as I do and it shows.
Through the years since acquiring my industrial wide-format Austrian CNC laser, I’ve filmed almost 400 videos showing my awesome Trotec doing everything for very complex pyrography to wooden business card holders that look deceptively simple at first look.
CNCROi.com has engraved endless cellars full of wine bottles…
To anodized aluminium measuring cards that fit in your pocket.
We’ve even engraved antler knives!
That’s not all, CNCROi.com also made some custom furniture that are used everyday in our shop… from our custom downdraft table used for sanding…
To our CNC laser station that has stood next to our Trotec Laser Speedy 400 flexx ever since it was first put together out of plywood.
CNCROi.com has made other items using our laser, from custom rubber stamps from Trodat Stamps out of Austria, also parent company to our Trotec Laser.
And of course, amazing wedding coasters where CNCROi.com used our fiber laser source to color change the polycarbonate permanently.
My conclusion, if I ever get the opportunity to visit Trotec Laser HQ in Austria, I look forward to coming there with a few cases of beer (after work, we need great lasers, not crocked ones) and giving them to everybody in the shop for a job extremely well done!
