Blue on White Name Badge: Custom Lamacoid
Making a custom lamacoid blue on white name badge is similar to doing the same on other materials regardless of the design we are making for our customers.
What CNCROi.com will do today is a custom blue on white name badge in both the “traditional” style and the “Jon” style that gets me noticed at networking events.

You DO NOT want to wash these with harsh detergents or chemicals as it can dissolve and remove the top coat of the lamacoid.
In this case, something like windex or javex would make the blue top of the blue on white name badge white as it would remove the blue.

It just shows you how incredible a simple thing like color can display a huge difference in people’s minds, when I go to manufacturing shows or events, I wear the metal looking lamacoid, when I go to wood shows, you guessed it, I wear my custom solid Oak name badge of the exact same design!
CNCROi.com does a lot of metal work and wearing a wooden name badge would look odd, just like wearing a metal looking custom name badge would look out-of-place at a woodworking event.
The nice thing about this custom blue on white name badge is that it fits in just about anywhere, so it will be my default if I have no idea who I’m going to meet at a networking event, whether it’s meeting a bunch of IT professionals or employees in the financial industry.
Now that this custom CNCROi.com blue on white name badge is almost done engraving, you can see how a boring piece of blue lamacoid has magically become something more interesting just by using a beam of light!
After engraving, it’s time to cut out the blue on white name badge.
It’s always fun to see something come to life and then have the opportunity to be the first to touch and manipulate it to make it into something truly special.
Notice how the bottom has slightly lifted? This is just heat from the cutting process, once it cools down, it generally goes back down to normal flatness.

It just needs to be cleaned-up and it will be ready for prime time!
Straight off the bed and a quick clean, needs to be washed a bit more in some places but this really looks great, it’s almost as if I’m holding it in front of a picture of my hand, the contrast is just so awesome in this blue on white name badge!
Comparing the traditional design to the bigger design I use at networking events, you can gain an appreciation of just how big this blue on white name badge is!

Alright, now onto portraits, looking at the image below, you’d think the one on the left would come out better than the one on the right, but you have to remember, we are vaporizing off a surface, as a result, it’s actually the lamacoid portrait on the right that will come out best even though it looks awful in its native digital form.

In this case, we are using a red on white lamacoid, just to contrast it with the same lamacoid but blue on white we used for the custom name badges above.
CNC laser engraving and then cutting it at CNCROi.com comes out just as clear and clean.
And the final results look great!
