CNC Laser Engraving a Red Brick
The power of CNCROi.com‘s Austrian CNC industrial laser is second to none, not only can we use it to anneal stainless steel to be pitch black without any pre or post processing, we can also engrave into non-traditional material like a solid brick!
We’ve been getting lots of inquiries regarding materials that most people don’t envision being CNC laser engraved, that’s part of the reason why I do all these blog posts showing what is possible using this awesome industrial technology!
Suffice it to say, CNC laser engraving brick or any kind of cement or stone or rock isn’t the quickest process in the world. It takes LOTS of power and the light produced by the interaction of the laser vaporizing the particulates that make-up these materials is blinding, hence the focusing issues you’ll see in the video below.
After the material testing was done, the file that contained this image was sent over to the laser and the process of CNC laser engraving this big red brick with our Trotec Speedy 400 flexx began. As you can see from the results below, the result is consistent and clearly visible on this coated brick.
