Custom 5″ Stamp: Multilingual Round Rubber Stamp
Making a custom 5″ stamp is a great way to brand paper bags and other small items at trade shows and at retail fronts for a fraction of the price of traditional branding methods.
For CNCROi.com, whether the custom 5″ stamp is bigger or smaller, round or square, it really makes no difference to our equipment when it comes to making it for you, the biggest issue our customers face with larger stamps though are finding ink pads big enough.
When it comes to font choices, going multilingual with any mix of accents and unique language characters poses no problem for CNCROi.com when it comes to making custom stamps, in this case, a 5″ stamp size was chosen but it could have been much bigger or smaller with the same design.
With us, you tell us what kind of stamp you want and we make it, whether it’s self-inking or not, we put the same amount of dedication and passion in every custom rubber stamp that leaves the shop.
What makes a great design work well, as it did for this custom 5″ stamp, is making sure the graphics are vectors, which means they are resolution independent, this allows CNCROi.com to scale elements of the drawing up or down with no loss in quality.
For regular use, though, I’d say this custom 5″ stamp is about as big as you want to go because any bigger it becomes more difficult to properly stamp or brand with and finding a good ink pad that supports such a big stamp takes a little leg work.
There’s a reason why our Trodat Professional 5212 self-inking rubber stamps are our top sellers, it’s because having such a huge surface area allows for endless design possibilities with the convenience of self-inking to boot!
Our wide-format industrial CNC laser does a great job on this custom 5″ stamp, the rubber comes from Trodat, the world’s larger stamp manufacturer and the machine comes from Trotec, a laser especially optimized for stamp making though we’ve used it for a lot of other applications at CNCROi.com.
I really never get tired of custom rubber stamp production, each design has its own challenges and nuances in the design that must be accounted for and its great fun to see how digital transforms into reality especially for stamps.
There are a lot of options when it comes to self-inking stamps, CNCROi.com can handle both size specs to produce the absolute best custom rubber stamp you’ve ever had!
The process of fabricating this custom 5″ stamp starts with engraving the design into the rubber, this is what creates the relief that allows the stamp to pick-up ink where it’s needed and ignored where it isn’t.
During the engraving process, as you can see for this custom 5″ stamp, the rubber looks rough and blurred but this is just a layer of dust and debris that builds-up on the surface of the rubber, it’s quickly cleaned off without any negative effect on the underlying branded rubber.
What do different color stamps look like? CNCROi.com makes a lot of custom Trodat Professional self-inking stamps to have a look!
Once the design is just about done, you can see just how rough the custom 5″ stamp looks, there is a fraction of an inch or about a mm of debris around each letter and image in the graphic plus about as thin a layer all over the rubber’s surface.
After the engraving process on this custom 5″ stamp is finished, it’s time to cut it out of the rest of the Trodat rubber which we buy in volume directly from the supplier, Trodat Stamps!
If you want a whole range of Trodat stamps, self-inking and otherwise, CNCROi.com is an official reseller of their entire global product range!
When it comes to design options, here’s another custom 5″ round rubber stamp we made just so you can see how different a design you can have!
Cutting the rubber is a pretty seamless process, Trodat rubber is specifically optimized for our Trotec Laser and the results as you can see from this custom 5″ stamp are totally repeatable for multiple orders and will look fantastic once cleaned-up.
I really enjoy making custom rubber stamps, although I still haven’t gotten use to the smell during production, the finished results are just amazing and our customers love our thousand DPI approach towards making custom rubber stamps for their business and personal use.
CNCROi.com is also capable of producing custom stamps using a wide variety of other materials, let’s take a look at just a few random wood examples.
After being cleaned-up, here’s what the custom 5″ stamp looks like, it’s hard to photograph well but all the letters and images are nice and sharp.
Taking a look at the custom 5″ stamp from another angle, you can get a better idea of how wonderful this rubber was engraved, top precision and quality through on through!
The only problem with rubber is that it doesn’t lay flat when you press onto it, it needs a very solid backing, CNCROi.com uses our laser to produce a custom platform to make sure the stamp is totally flat too!
