Custom Anodized Control Panel Tags

CNCROi.com can now make low (and high) volume custom anodized control panel tags to whatever spec you require, let’s see how we made our latest batch for a customer of ours.

The thickness of the sheet goods you see here that will become our custom anodized control panel tags is 0.02″ as they will be placed (glued) straight onto the control panel’s front surface where all the knobs and switches will be.

From acquiring the sheet goods, CNCROi.com used a fiber laser cutter to make the shapes required in both black and red anodized aluminium, at this thickness, we make quick work at performing this transition for this project.

The advantage of fiber laser cutting over plasma for stock anodized aluminium sheets this thin is that it has a far tighter cutting diameter, our plasma can technically cut this as well, but it’s like using a firefighting hose to put out a candle and yes, CNCROi.com‘s CNC router can also cut this quite easily but as the process is more of a sheering one, lots of clean-up on the edges would be required.
