Custom MDF Parts: CNC Router

Using our full sheet CNC router, we can make parts of pretty much any dimension and what makes our parts unique are that round circles are ROUND, square corners are SQUARE and whatever digital files you send to us, that’s what you get back physically.

When you watch the video of these custom MDF parts, you’ll notice that some of them have pockets, if you wanted several “layers” of pockets at different depth, we can do that just as easily as just cutting the parts straight out or adding curves.
We did quite a bit of this for custom plastic tooling inserts for one of our customers where they had different depths to account for different holding objectives.

CNCROi.com does lots of work with MDF but our second most popular material when it comes to custom parts production is polycarbonate or bullet proof glass.
Polycarbonate parts are INCREDIBLY STRONG and durable, they don’t take heat very well but they more than make-up for it in other ways and machine incredibly well by CNCROi.com.
Of course, CNCROi.com doesn’t only make custom MDF parts that are big and thick but also thin and precise with sharp corners using our CNC laser.
Like our CNC router, MDF is the most popular material we cut using our CNC laser bar none, again, easily sourced material, pretty durable and strong for most applications and it paints very well!

When you watch the video of the production process behind these custom MDF parts, just noticed how smooth the machine motion it, this is actually quite rare, most machines have a very difficult time making SMOOTH parts, whether they are ovals, circles or a mix and match of smooth shapes.
When you consider how heavy and powerful our CNC router is, it’s all the more impressive how finely tuned it is for custom production regardless of material or size of what it’s cutting.

The reason you see some dust building-up on the CNC router table during this production of custom MDF parts it’s because I closed the dust system, the problem was small parts were getting sucked-up which isn’t good as it can hit the blades which can damage them.
