Huge Wall Ruler: Quick Glance Live Edge Height Stickers
As CNCROi.com expands greatly into the live edge business, we needed a huge wall ruler to quickly identify the height of what we are holding in inventory for our customers far and wide.
When I started CNCROi.com, I really couldn’t have imagined how much woodwork we’d eventually grow into, now that we are starting to make custom live edge furniture and other items like cottage signs to cutting boards to customer’s specs, we have to get a huge wall ruler made to measure the height of our slabs coming in the door.
What I really enjoy about live edge wood is that unlike regular lumber, it’s a solid board through on through and the esthetics are amazing, having a huge wall ruler will allow CNCROi.com to speed-up the process greatly from current tape measuring.
MDF is a wonderful material for the right applications, I wouldn’t use it for everything but it does have it’s place when the application calls for it.
The material I used for the huge wall ruler is regular 1/8″ 3 mm MDF because it’s light weight, can be easily painted and we’ve already got tons of it at CNCROi.com for a host of other projects.
Using double sided tape means we just basically made huge wall stickers which stick right on the wall, no mess, no glue and no hassle!

The surface of the MDF is really close; to the same beige on our showroom wall so I decided to spray paint them green for the ultimate in contrast!
